Florida has experienced tremendous population growth, and as a result, the demand for more professional and safe commercial truck drivers increased too – a common theme across the nation. Roadmaster Drivers School recognized the growing need and wanted to open a new, larger truck driving school in Apopka, Florida, that could accommodate the growth. Designed and built by ARCO/Murray’s South Florida Team, the new facility would have ample space to train commercial truck drivers. But there was one catch… they had a very tight deadline to move out of their previous space and into the new development.
Using our design-build methodology, ARCO was able to deliver the new facility and get the Roadmaster team operational in 7 months. “They put together a very aggressive timeline that was able to get that done. So, they pulled off a miracle,” said Brad Ball, President of Roadmaster Drivers School. “That’s what design-build does for us – it’s moving dynamically. And taking that dynamic approach on an expedited schedule is critical,” added Buster Sheridan, Vice President, ARCO/Murray.
ARCO/Murray was excited to see this project come to fruition. The careful planning and communication with Roadmaster and Werner enabled us to expedite this project and deliver a solution. We look forward to continuing our partnership.
