ARCO/Murray’s own Corie Foley was named a 2024 Top Young Professional in the January edition of ENR Midwest magazine. She was featured among 20 standouts across the region. ENR’s annual Top Young Professionals program recognizes industry professionals under 40 years of age who are achieving excellence in their professional lives by exhibiting qualities of leadership, career progress, rapid experience and community involvement.
Corie, a Menomonee Falls native, studied Civil Engineering at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She graduated in May 2015. Upon graduation, she served as a Project Manager and then was promoted in 2019 to Director of Operations for ARCO/Murray’s Tenant Solutions division. In 2022, at 30 years-old, Corie Foley was promoted to Vice President.
With females making up roughly 14% of the construction workforce, Corie is helping lead the charge in recruiting and mentoring a new wave of women engineers – all while breaking the mold as a young woman in leadership solely opening and running the Milwaukee office in March 2023 for a $6.5 billion-dollar enterprise.
Community Involvement Efforts
Corie is the driving force behind ARCO’s Annual Women in Construction (WIC) Week events, which has grown from one (1) location in 2019 to five (5) national markets with hundreds of attendees across a wide spectrum of roles and experience. She has served as an emcee and moderator, as well as helps with planning, promotion and speaker selection. ARCO’s 2023 Women in Construction events raised over $27,000 for five nonprofits focused on equity, inclusion, mentorship and driving more opportunities for women in the fields of construction and engineering.
One of those nonprofits is Female Strong. In addition to the funds raised during the WIC event, Corie planned an ARCO camp with Female Strong in the summer of 2023. The camp empowers middle and high school-aged girls – 95% of which come from challenging circumstances and diverse backgrounds – to expand their self-confidence and business acumen.
Corie also leads ARCO/Murray’s project manager and superintendent network for women which consists of reoccurring calls, mentorship support, and trips to unite and inspire. She’s also heavily involved with Habitat for Humanity and is an active member of the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW) in Milwaukee. In conjunction with Kelly Beck, Director of Business Development, Corie will be taking on several philanthropic construction projects honoring war veterans in the Milwaukee community this year.
A Rising Industry Leader
In less than 10 years, Corie has paved the way as a leader, mentor and advocate for women engineers. She has implemented and refined training and onboarding programs for ARCO’s national Tenant Solutions division, which includes 50+ team members across the country. Corie has run national projects from entertainment to retail, office and adaptive reuse and served as a client executive. Corie’s exemplary work ethic, design-build prowess, engineering skillset, philanthropic endeavors, industry involvement and engaging personality has led to several promotions and honors like Top Young Professional.
