ARCO/Murray Completes Self-Storage Facility in Fort Collins, Colorado
ARCO/Murray partnered with Guardian Storage to deliver a new three-story plus half-basement self-storage facility in Colorado.

ARCO/Murray partnered with Guardian Storage to deliver a 118,450 square foot self-storage facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. Guardian Storage serves as the owner and operator of this new 3-story plus half basement facility which includes 726 ready to rent self-storage units.
The fully climate-controlled facility showcases a complex façade blend combining various materials including split face block, limestone veneer, metal panels, fiber cement wall panels and clear and spandrel storefront glass, providing a beautiful finish to the building’s exterior. To accommodate the site being constructed on an elevated lot, ARCO/Murray constructed a unique 10-foot retaining wall, to allow for 2 ground-level entrances for seamless access to the building. Additionally, ARCO/Murray developed a new public road, Snead road, further improving customer entry points and supporting the functionality of the overall site.
37 interior drive up units line the building’s perimeter, offering direct access to the inside of the building and ensuring maximum storage convenience and efficiency. The light gauge steel framed building features 1,020 SF of available office space, which offers move-in supplies ensuring smooth, hassle free experiences for future customers.
Strategically located along the busy Route 287 of Fort Collins, which offers direct access to nearby major city, Denver, the new facility provides prime convenience to nearby residential communities and major commercial retailers.
This facility marks the latest in a series of successful partnership between ARCO/Murray and Guardian Storage. Catherine Zaunbrecher led the project as Manager, while Superintendent Josh Huskey oversaw the day-to-day construction process.
