MILWAUKEE, WI – ARCO/Murray, together with Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and developer Crow Holdings, recently celebrated the official groundbreaking for a new 337,000-square-foot air cargo facility at the MKE Regional Business Park. This milestone marks the beginning of a transformative project aimed at enhancing cargo operations and fostering economic growth in the region.
Designed to accommodate five Boeing 747-400 aircraft simultaneously, the facility will provide a more efficient alternative for businesses looking to avoid congestion and higher costs at other regional airports. The development will include a new Milwaukee County Highway Maintenance Facility and critical taxiway enhancements to support large-scale cargo operations.
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and Milwaukee County Airport Director Brian Dranzik joined project leaders at the ceremony, emphasizing the project’s role in job creation and local economic impact. Once complete, the facility is expected to generate over $1.3 million in annual aircraft landing fees and more than $1 million in annual ground lease rents and fees.
With construction set to begin soon, ARCO/Murray remains focused on delivering a best-in-class industrial facility that meets the growing needs of modern air cargo logistics.
