ARCO/Murray partnered with Clear Sky Capital to deliver an impressive 177,818 square foot self-storage facility in Vista, California. StorQuest is the operator of this new 3-story, fully conditioned facility, which includes 1,358 ready to rent self-storage units.
Situated in Southern California between San Diego and Los Angeles, this expansive facility is poised to provide exceptional convenience for its customers and maximum operational efficiency. In addition to the plentiful amount of interior units, 51 drive-up units are available along all sides of the building perimeter. The spacious adjacent parking lot houses 45 exterior RV parking stalls, enabling the facility to effectively meet a wide range of storage requirements.
Designed with a focus on long-term energy savings and sustainability, the building is equipped with solar-ready roof infrastructure and features multiple future EV charging stalls, enhancing the building’s contribution to the community’s environmental efforts.
The project site is adjacent to a North County Transit District railroad, requiring a thorough, strategic approach to capitalize on a challenging site location. Our team collaborated closely with subcontractors to ensure that construction proceeded safely and without disruption to the city’s main infrastructure. The light gauge steel framed facility features a complex façade combination, including stucco, metal panel, and glass façade, creating an inviting and modern aesthetic.
This facility represents the latest successfully completed Class A self-storage project in California for ARCO/Murray. MJ Morris led the project as Project Manager, while Superintendent, Bill Mayer, oversaw the day-to-day construction process.
