ARCO/Murray partnered with Guardian Storage to deliver a 114,450 square foot self-storage facility in Star City, West Virginia. Guardian Storage serves as the owner and operator of this new 3-story, fully conditioned facility, which includes 752 ready to rent self-storage units.

Located less than three miles from West Virginia University, the new facility offers convenient storage solutions for students, faculty, and local residents. Positioned along the Monongahela River, the site benefits from a scenic, historic backdrop that enhances its overall appeal.

This state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility boasts a stunning design, blending sleek charcoal gray masonry on the first floor with modern metal paneling on the upper levels. Furthermore, the project features 57 easily accessible drive-up units and two covered loading bays—strategically located at both the front and the building’s rear—ensuring seamless interior access for maximum convenience. The ground floor alone offers nearly 14,000 square feet of rentable, conditioned drive-up units, tailored to provide flexible, top-notch storage solutions for all users.

The facility also includes a spacious two-story office area with lofted ceilings and a conference room, providing a comfortable workspace for our client and their team during site visits. Guardian Storage utilizes the 1st floor of this space to offer move-in supplies, ensuring a smooth, hassle-free experience for their customers.

This facility marks the latest in a series of successful partnership between ARCO/Murray and Guardian Storage. PJ Rzasnicki led the project as Manager, while Superintendent Jamie Poole oversaw the day-to-day construction process.
